Hey there, I’m Hayley
I’m 36 years old and live in beautiful Tasmania. Living in Tassie means I get to experience all four seasons (sometimes in a single day!)—from cosy winters to scorching summers. Honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I share my life with my husband, Jack, and our beautiful rescue doggo, Odie. Like most people, my life’s a bit of a rollercoaster—but rollercoasters are fun, exciting, sometimes scary, unpredictable, thrilling, adventurous, wild, surprising, and breathtaking.
In my adult life, I’ve been diagnosed with a bowel disorder, ADHD, generalised anxiety, and pretty severe misophonia. My brain? Let’s just say it’s spicy—scattered like a bag of mixed lollies!
Love is at the heart of everything I do. I love deeply and wholeheartedly, whether it’s for my husband, my doggo, my family, or my friends. Love is my anchor, and I feel incredibly lucky to be surrounded by so many amazing people who fill my heart with joy.
Like many “spicy-brained” people, it took me a while to find the right career path, but eventually, my winding journey led me to nursing. I’m immensely proud to be a nurse, and the challenges I’ve faced along the way have only made me more grateful for the work I do.
Now, if we were speed-friending, here’s what you’d quickly learn about me:
I would describe myself as nostalgic, sentimental, love-focused, and caring.
I love: Margaritas & wine, dancing, chocolate, pizza, day spas, feeling the warmth of the sun on my skin, reading, cups of tea, iced matcha & iced coffee, travel and exploring new places, animals—especially pigs and dogs, vintage glassware, gold jewellery, cosy rainy days by the fire, the peace and quiet of home, candles, weddings, Harry Potter, Christmas, exercise, having my nails done, saving reels and forgetting about them, making people feel loved, anything to do with WWII—films, books, documentaries, you name it.
I don’t love: Rude people, coriander, seafood (I wish I did), gardening (even though I love gardens!), the beach (I know, I know…), a lot of noises (hello, misophonia), being late, camping, harm to animals, injustice, and deep murky water.
